Great question! The CRIMPiT is made of a special plastic that doesn't absorb microwave energy the way food does. Since it doesn’t contain water, it doesn’t heat up in the microwave, which keeps it safe for use in your microwave without any risk of melting.

The CRIMPiT works best with larger wraps, but you can use any size. If your wrap is smaller than the device, just position it closer to the teeth instead of the centre. We recommend Mission Original Wraps for perfect results every time.
